SuperQuadra Bar was opened in March 2020, one week before the government of DF decided to close all the restaurants due to the Corona virus. Owned and operated by Tonico Lichtsztejn, a French born and now naturalized Brazilian, he is regarded as one of the top chefs in Brasilia.
If you expect a restaurant with tablecloths, chandeliers and fancy waiters you will be disappointed, very disappointed. All the cooking is done with a BBQ and a smoker in front of a bar, surrounded by some wooden tables and chairs. So the atmosphere is super casual.
But the food is absolutely amazing. Tonico Lichtsztejn is what you would call a BBQ specialist and you can taste why when you eat his food. It is nothing fancy, but what one would describe as honest food.
And of course, the beers are served cold, and they also prepare some good cocktails.
Best of all, there is no loud music and no TV’s around, so one can have a conversation with his friends without being constantly bombarded by loud noise.
A great place to come with friends to spend a great evening with good food and great company.
