The B4D website and forum was created by the Brasilia Hash House Harriers because they saw the need for an interactive communication platform to share tips and experiences about life in Brasilia. Let us be honest, it can take some time to get used to living in Brasília and to be comfortable. While the Living Brasilia Forum and Expats Brasilia pages on Facebook are an excellent information source, the B4D website offers a searchable and interactive platform to search and share information and experiences about Brasilia.

The B4D website and forum is for expats and their spouses to assure that the content reflects the interest of the target group. Although we appreciate Brazilian newcomers to the city, this site is not intended for that population unless they are part of an expat family. We do not want these sites to become a free-for-all or advertising. Through the sign-up process we have control of who is joining up.

The B4D website is totally not-for-profit. Monies raised through donations and advertising will help us to cover the costs for maintaining and monthly hosting costs. All work to update the website and forum are done by the Brasilia Hash House Harriers and volunteers. Currently the website does not accept any advertising and all listings are free of charge. As soon as this should change we will advise the B4D community about this. Also, to join as a member to the website or forum is free.

The B4D forum is an open information exchange platform where we do not censor people from discussing what they want to talk about and what kind of experiences and information they want to share. We reserve the right to take information from the forum and add it to the website as long as we think it is relevant to the expat community. The website contains information that is relevant to the expat community and members can comment in the forum in the different categories. They cannot add any content to the website.

The B4D website and forum is open to all expats and their partners living in Brasilia. If you are Brazilian without any connections to the expat community but think you have something to offer, please contact us so we can discuss it.

The B4D website and forum are designed to be fully searchable. For this we use a keyword search function. On our homepage and the different categories you will see a “Search our platform” box. Just type in the key words related to what you are looking for and you will be connected to the pages that are relevant.

If you want to help us in maintaining and improving the B4D website and forum you are more than welcome. Just contact us and we will set up a meeting to chat about it.

We welcome all event submissions as long as they are relevant to the Brasilia expat community. So if you have a bazaar, embassy event, charity party or anything else, please forward us all the details and invitations and we will be more than happy to share it on our website and forum. After all, this platform was designed to help the expat community to stay connected.

Yes! The B4D website and forum are only as successful as the input and advice from its expats community. We call it the brains and experience trust. In the B4D forum anybody can suggest any businesses or services to the forum community. The B4D website has a suggestion box where members will be able to send us what you think should be on the website. We will review the information and, if relevant, we will add it on the website.

We reserve the right to remove any comment or posts in the B4D website or forum if we deem it not relevant to the expat community or if it is in any way offensive. We will do this without warning and reserve the right to remove the person permanently.

Yes you can. But it will be clearly marked as advertising so our members know what it is. To advertise with us, please contact us and we can discuss the matter.

We do not take any responsibility on what is bought or sold through our website and forum. We ask the sellers and buyers to check the goods and hand over the money only if they are satisfied with the conditions. If there should be any problems we ask you to solve it with the relevant person.

You can support the B4D website and forum through either a donation to pay for the upkeep and maintenance or you can volunteer to become part of the team. Just contact us and we can discuss it.
