Brasilia is a planned city that was built in 5 years. One of the ideas was that each apartment quadra would be self-sufficient and supported by a commercial quadra. While most of this is still valid, some of the commercial quadras have evolved into specialty product quadras.
One of these is the Rua das Motos in QMS2, Sudoeste. Here you find everything regarding motorcycles, repair shops, motorcycle washes, helmet and protection shops, aftermarket parts and much more.
One of the coolest things about this area is that on a Saturday hundreds of “bikers” convert to this area from about 9:00 onwards to have breakfast, meet friends and take of to day trips around Brasilia.
For the ones that stay back there are live bands, food and beer trucks as well as merchandise stores to enjoy. So this is not only for motorcycle enthusiasts, but for everybody who wants to have a good time.
PS. Do not expect the prices to be the same as in the US or Europe. The Brazilian customs import duties are crazy and the vendors are just passing the cost on. If you have an opportunity to get equipment and parts from your country into Brazil that is a much cheaper option.
